London
(ANI):
Barbra
Streisand
has
reportedly
declined
to
accept
a
staggering
62.5-million-pound
offer
to
take
up
a
residency
in
Las
Vegas.
The
67-year-old
superstar,
who
has
two
Oscars,
eight
Grammy
Awards
and
four
Emmy
Awards
to
her
credit,
purportedly
refused
to
follow
predecessors
Cher,
Celine
Dion
and
Bette
Midler
after
being
contacted
by
a
Sin
City
promoter
to
sign
a
three-year
contract.
"After
Celine
Dion
left
Vegas,
no
one
has
been
able
to
replace
her.
Bette
Midler
failed,
Cher
is
trying,
only
Barbra
is
guaranteed
to
succeed," the
Daily
Express
quoted
a
source
as
telling
PopEater.com.
"She's
an
international
star
and
the
only
performer
in
the
world
that
would
make
people
flock
to
Vegas
year
after
year,"
the
source
added.
But
the
Woman
In
Love
hitmaker
was
said
to
be
not
interested
in
the
massive
pay
cheque.
The
insider
added:
"Money
has
never
been
a
deciding
factor
in
her
career.
She
plans
on
touring
again
this
summer
instead."
