Cheryl Cole begins work on her solo album

London, (ANI): Cheryl Cole has started working on her solo album in the studio, despite having only just recovered from malaria.

Cheryl, whose illness meant she was replaced at the show"s boot camp by Pussycat Doll Nicole Schwerzinger, 25, proved how determined she is to get back to work.

The Girls Aloud babe is so desperate for a hit album that she stayed in the studio until 8pm and was back for more. The Los Angeles studio is just a stone"s throw from where 27-year-old Cheryl and dancer pal Derek Hough, 25, are staying at Hollywood"s Sunset Marquis Hotel.

“Cheryl booked the studio for a week, though she"ll see how many days she can manage. But she is not the sort of person to lie in bed waiting to get better," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying. “She is a grafter and as much as people want her to rest, she won"t. She is excited to be back and feels rested after chilling out by the pool with Derek. Cheryl is really geared towards making it in the US and feels well enough to push on," the source added.
