Simon Cowell's mum amazed at smitten son

London (ANI): Simon Cowell's mother has confessed she is amazed at the way her son has 'completely turned around' after falling for Mezhgan Hussainy. Julie, 84, recalled the time when the music mogul, 50, updated her on his personal life and her potential new daughter-in-law.

"I knew it was serious when Simon said he had something important to tell me. I asked if it was good or bad and he replies, “That depends which way you look at it. Just tell me," I said. He explained that he had asked Mezhgan to move in with him. Although girlfriends had stayed with him in the past, he had never done that before. This seems to make it official," the Mirror quoted her as saying in an interview in Hello! Magazine.

She continued: "What baffled me most was the complete turnaround in my son. He has always insisted, I'm fine as I am, mother. I'm not going to get committed to a marriage and I certainly don't want children." I used to reply, You don't know, you've never had them."

Julie added: "I couldn't believe it when I saw him. He looks exceptionally happy and there is such a glow about him. I thought, my goodness me, he's had to reach 50 to reach this stage. I think turning 50 has made him reassess his life."
