Lady Gaga dethrones Britney Spears as new Twitter queen

London (ANI): Lady Gaga has now conquered 'Twitter" by amassing more than 5.7 million fans, leaving Britney Spears behind her. Spears and the 'Bad Romance" singer had been tough competitors for the top Twitter title, but Gaga finally surpassed her on Saturday.

She also won the coveted spot of the first living person to have over 10 million Facebook fans last month beating US President Barack Obama. "Hello world, this is Lady Gaga, queen of Twitter," the Sun quoted Gaga as saying.

"I wanted to thank all my beautiful little monsters for following me…may you always have soft cuticles while tweeting and may you never have carpal tunnel," she added.
