Katy Perry to wed Russell Brand in Indian style today

Finally, the much-awaited day is here. Today, American singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand will tie the knot at the luxurious Aman-E-Khas resort in Ranthambore, Rajasthan.

The celebrity couple has chosen an Indian wedding and will be blessed by a Hindu priest. It is said that Katy Perry will wear Indian outfit, including jewellery, henna tattoos and bindis at the wedding ceremony. Russell Brand will come to the venue on a decorated horse escorted by a procession of elephants, camels and dancers.

The wedding will be a four-day affair from October 23 to 26. Friends and families of the couple, including celebrities like Rihanna, Jonathan Ross, David Williams and others are expected to grace the event. It is reported that a grand reception will be held on Sunday (October 24) at the Rambagh Palace Hotel in Jaipur, where popular rapper P. Diddy and Indian classical dancers will perform. The couple is expected to have a civil ceremony in the US after their wedding in India.

Well, Katy Perry and Russell Brand have managed to keep away from the ever-prying media persons from India and abroad. Aman-e-Khas resort, where they will exchange wedding vows, has turned into a fortress with private security personnel cordoning off the whole area. All the entrances to the resort have been blocked. It is said that the locals have been asked not to share the details of the wedding to the media.

The couple got engaged on 6th January this year in Jaipur and decided to wed in Indian style.
