The Killers’ ‘Mr Brightside’ most played song

London (ANI): US band The Killers has bagged the title of 'most played song" since the launch of online service last.fm with their chart hit Mr Brightside. Last.fm has complied the chart of its most played songs to mark 40 Billion plays on its streaming service. The online service was launched in 2003, reports the Mirror.

British bands have the biggest share of top spots on the list with 6 appearing in the top 10. Muse was king of the UK acts with Oasis, Coldplay and Radiohead also appearing at the very top of the list. Last.fm recommends similar music choices to users each time they “scrobble" or play a song. At the peak of use Last.fm users scrobble up to 800 songs per second.

Lady Gaga is the only woman to place in the top 20 with Poker Face at number six with just over 6 million plays even though the song was only just released last year. The most steamed song Mr Brightside was played a total 7.66 million times.
