Mel B to record own solo album

London (ANI): Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has decided to record her solo tracks. The singer revealed she is writing her own lyrics too. "I was in the studio last week - I've only done a handful of tracks," the News of the World quoted her as saying.

She added: "I'm waiting to find a sound that I'm happy with but I'm writing all my own stuff. I've got a lot going on this year but I'm making time to be in the studio. I was in there till five in the morning. "I always find at night, when you've put the kids to bed, you can get into your zone. "To do an album takes time and energy. You can't have distractions going on."
