Noel Gallagher to make solo comeback

By Raymond Ronamai

London (ANI): Former Oasis member Noel Gallagher is set to launch his solo career with a performance at a charity concert in March.

The guitarist will take the stage at the annual Teenage Cancer Trust concerts, set up by The Who frontman Roger Daltrey. He had performed at the event in 2007.

"Ten years ago I got a call from Roger asking to join him for the first ever concert for the charity," the Daily Star quoted him as saying. He added: “Since then, I've been honoured to support this amazing charity. I've had some of the best nights I've ever had on a U.K. stage."

Also, the Arctic Monkeys, The Specials and Them Crooked Vultures will perform at the event. Daltrey said: "I'm over the moon. It will be Noel's only gigs this year, so those nights will be special."

Noel had split from Oasis last year after a row with brother Liam.
