Adele's 21 is joint longest-running No.1 album

There is no stopping for British singer Adele. Her album '21' has been at the top of the chart for 18 weeks, equaling the record set by the Bee Gees' track to the film Saturday Night Fever in 1977. Adele's album '21' is now the joint longest-running No.1 album in 40 years.

'21' has been certified ten times platinum. There are only eight albums that have been at No.1 for longer according to official album chart. The Beatles had four, Elvis Presley has one album, and Simon And Garfunkel with Bridge Over Troubled Water, which racked up 41 weeks
in 1971.

Meanwhile, Adele has got seven MTV Video Music Awards nominations in various categories including Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video. She got all the nominations for her hit number “Rolling In The Deep".
