British singer Adele, who toured US earlier this year, is deeply influenced by country music and bluegrass. She revealed that her next album will be influenced by bluegrass music. She is planning to start working on the album after completing the rescheduled US concerts this autumn.
“I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass because I was touring for such a long time. The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I'm going to be pursuing heavily from now on. I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it," The Sun quoted the singer as saying.
Adele'a album 21 stayed at the top of the charts for 18 weeks, and thus equaled the record set by the Bee Gees' track to the film Saturday Night Fever. She has got seven MTV Video Music Awards nominations in various categories including Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video. She got all the nominations for her hit number “Rolling In The Deep".
