Aguilera's Beautiful is most empowering song for gays

Singer Christina Aguilera has turned homosexuals icon. According to a poll conducted by charity Stonewall, Christina's inspirational ballad “Beautiful" has been voted the most empowering song of the decade for the young homosexuals.

Christina, who has beaten gay icon Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, is pleased to get the title. “I'm delighted to have been voted the most inspirational pop act by Stonewall's supporters - my gay fan base is so important to me and this continues my special relationship with them," Contactmusic quotes the singer as saying.

Boyzone's song “Better" which has video featuring a gay couple, came in the second place and Lady Gaga's “Born This Way" stood in the third position. The are followed by Gossip's “Standing in the Way of Control" and Katy Perry's “Firework".
