Amy Winehouse Foundation finds home

By Raymond Ronamai

Singer Amy Winehouse's £2.5million property in Camden, North London, will become home to the charity which her dad Mitch has started in her name. The Winehouse family thought of selling the property but finally decided to run Amy Winehouse Foundation from the house she passed away.

“They think it's too precious to give up, hence the new HQ idea. They don't want to rent it out and if they sold it they think it could attract the wrong kind of buyer as it was where Amy passed away. They may sell one day but that would be some way off," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

Mitch has started Amy Winehouse Foundation to help causes close to the tragic singer's heart. “It could include help for children in trouble, kids suffering health problems, children's hospices and more. We want to make a positive difference," he said.

The mission statement of the Amy Winehouse Foundation will be announced on her 28th birthday, September 14. The profits from the duet Amy recorded with the music legend Tony Bennett will go towards the foundation.
