The
mortal
remains
of
singer
Amy
Winehouse
will
be
laid
to
rest
today
(July
26).
Representative
of
the
singer
told
US
Weekly
that
the
funeral
will
take
place
today.
The
announcement
came
hours
after
a
London
coroner
stated
that
an
inquest
into
the
singer's
death
has
been
opened
and
adjourned
to
October
26.
The
funeral
service
of
the
singer,
who
died
at
her
London
home
on
July
23,
was
expected
to
take
place
early,
as
the
Jewish
law
says
that
the
mortal
remains
of
the
deceased
be
buried
within
a
day.
So,
soon
after
the
coroner
said
that
an
inquest
into
the
her
death
had
been
opened
and
adjourned,
the
representative
of
the
singer
announced
her
funeral
date.
The
27-year-old's
body
was
identified
by
her
parents
so
that
they
could
start
preparing
for
the
funeral.
An
autopsy
was
conducted
on
the
singer
but
it
failed
to
give
the
cause
of
her
death.
It
may
take
another
four
weeks
to
know
the
exact
cause
of
her
death,
as
toxicology
tests
take
time.
