Britney Spears flattered by VMA nominations

By Raymond Ronamai

Singer Britney Spears is on cloud nine for bagging two nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). The singer, who was nominated for 28 times and won four awards in the past, said that she is flattered by this year's nominations for Best Pop Video and Best Choreography for her song “Till the World Ends."

“Oh my goodness, I'm completely flattered. That is amazing! Thank you so much for telling me. That's awesome! I grew up listening to MTV. It's just such an iconic thing to be able to participate in. To even be presented with an award is just so flattering and I'm honoured. I'm excited. You never get used to being nominated!" Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Katy Perry leads the VMA nominations with nine nominations, closely followed by Adele and Kanye West with seven each. Awards will be handed to the winners at an event on August 28.
