Bryan Adams blessed with a baby girl

Singer Bryan Adams is literally on cloud 9, as he has become a father for the first time. The 51-year-old rocker's live-in-lover Alicia Grimaldi gave birth to a baby girl on April 22.

“I'm really proud to announce on 22 April, Mirabella Bunny was born. Mother and baby are both well and happy. Thanks in advance for your kind thoughts and wishes. She arrived like all good Easter bunnies on Easter Friday," Contactmusic quoted the singer as saying. “Bryan and Alicia are absolutely thrilled. And Bryan couldn't be happier. I have no doubt he will make an absolutely wonderful father," the Daily Mail newspaper quoted a friend of the singer as saying.

Bryan Adams surprised many, including friends of Alicia, by announcing the pregnancy in March. Alicia is a graduate from Cambridge University and is is one of the trustees of the Bryan Adams Foundation.
