Music lovers in and around Delhi must be fuming with anger, as the much-awaited Bryan Adams concert in the city is likely to be cancelled. The concert is supposed to take place tonight but the organisers have run into trouble with the city police department for selling extra tickets.

The Delhi police have denied No Objection Certificate to the organisers over security concerns. They said that over 10, 000 tickets have been sold though the NSIC exhibition ground could accommodate only 6, 000 people. They are also concerned, as the organisers have not planned the traffic around the concert venue. Even the VIPs, exit and rescue routes have not been planned. Police officials said that they have informed the organisers about the denial of permission on February 10.

However, the organisers of the concert have not lost hope yet. They said that talks are still on to make the event happen. Rocker Bryan Adams also expressed his eagerness to entertain his fans. “I'm in New Delhi waiting to hear from the police about the concert. As far as I'm concerned the show is ON - we're 100% here for the fans," he posted on his Twitter page.

Bryan Adams is on a five-city tour in India. He has performed to packed audiences in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. He is scheduled to perform in Delhi tonight and in Hyderabad tomorrow.
