Bryan Ferry hospitalised before a show

By Raymond Ronamai

Singer Bryan Ferry was supposed to perform at the SportAccord opening ceremony, an event related to the 2012 London Olympics, held yesterday (April 5) but he was forced to cancel it after he was taken ill. He was rushed to hospital on fearing that he might have suffered heart attack but it turned out to be a false alarm.

“Bryan has been rough for some time and he felt event worse today. So, he thought it was best for the doctors to look into it. We're all obviously very concerned for him," Daily Mail quoted a close source as saying.

The 65-year-old “Slave to Love" hitmaker was supposed to appear at London's O2 Arena last night as a warm up for his forthcoming solo European tour but ended up in the hospital. He is set to start Olympia European Tour in Tel Aviv, Israel, on April 19, and go on to perform in 17 countries. His present health scare is unlikely to affect his scheduled tour dates.
