Cheryl Cole is on board for US X Factor?

A-list stars like Rihanna and Katy Perry are giving Cheryl Cole, a run for her money. The makers of X Factor feel that someone like Cole might be able to draw as much attention as Rihanna or Perry can.

According to a source, everyone is under the impression that Cheryl Cole has been signed as the judge for the U.S. X Factor. But actually nothing has been finalized by the producers. Fox is still not convinced about the star power of this pop singer. They are more eager to get someone more popular on board.

Simon Cowell, the show producer is the only one pushing the envelope for Cole. He feels this 27-year old star will be able to grab many eyeballs and she has what it takes to be a judge of X Factor. The show makers want to test the waters and check if the U.S. viewers warm up to Cole and accept her in such a prestigious position of a successful show.

After a successful stint at U.K, X Factors will now be launched in the U.S. Discussions and debates are currently being held for finalizing the judges. The final decision might not go down well with Cole, who has reportedly acquired a property worth $3.5 million near the X Factors studio in California.

We have to wait for Fox to decide the fate of the Girls Aloud vocalist.
