Chris Brown not attending Grammys

New York (ANI): R 'n" B singer Chris Brown will not be attending the Grammys and a representative of his has clarified that it is not related to the restraining order he has been given against Rihanna. According to TMZ.com, Brown, 21, had through his attorney appealed for a reduced restraining order, that is, from a 'stay away' order to a 'do not annoy' order.

Speculation started that the move was a way for Brown to attend the Grammys without worrying about violating his probation. “This court date and the lifting of the restraining order is part of the planned ongoing legal proceedings," the New York Daily News quoted the singer"s rep, Tammy Brook, as saying.

“The date was scheduled months ago. Chris Brown is very thankful for his Grammy nominations, but due to scheduling conflicts, he will not be attending the Grammys," Brook added.
