Chris Cornell lends his voice to Machine Gun Preacher

Chris Cornell, the formal lead guitarist of Audioslave, has lent his voice for the Gerard Butler action flick Machine Gun Preacher. Machine Gun Preacher is the story of Sam Childers, an ex drug-dealing biker turned messiah for Sudanese orphans, who has inspired the lead singer so much that he could write an entire album based on him.

Chris Cornell"s acoustic on the film is called 'The Keeper' has a very folk tempo to it. Other than Cornell"s acoustic, the film also features a track by the Australian musician Aaron Hendra called One Man"s War, which is based on Chiders" book.

However, Chris Cornell is working on a new Soundgarden album for the first time in 15 years. The American singer has been announced as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on the Friday, December 16 episode.
