Country
singer
Dolly
Parton
might
not
have
dreamt
in
her
wildest
dreams
that
the
collection
of
her
early
film
and
music
material
could
be
lost
but
she
is
now
left
devastated
following
the
lost
of
some
of
her
early
works.
The
“Jolene" singer
had
transferred
some
of
the
older
footage
reels
onto
digital
a
few
years
ago
but
some
of
the
recordings
were
not
salvageable.
Now,
some
of
her
works
in
her
six
decades
career
would
be
lost
forever.
“Actually
I
have
lost
a
lot
of
my
early
footage...
and
a
lot
of
the
songs
that
I
had
written,
because
I
started
writing
songs
when
I
was
a
child.
I
used
the
old
Wollensak
tape
recorder,
the
reel
to
reel,
and
it
started
to
die
away
and
I
didn't
realise
that
was
going
to
happen
A
few
years
ago
I
had
to
have
people
come
in
and
try
to
save
as
much
of
it
as
they
could.
We
lost
a
few
things.
That's
a
bad
thing,"
she
told
tells
Britain's
The
One
Show.
Now,
the
singer
has
urged
her
fans
to
save
their
audio
and
video
collections
properly.
