Eminem's Audi lawsuit settled

By Raymond Ronamai

American rapper Eminem has settled the lawsuit he filed against the bosses of German car giant Audi. The two parties have finally hit upon a financial settlement and the legal action will not go further, as they have reached a deal to settle the matter.

Eminem and his production company had sued the bosses of German car giant Audi over the use of his Oscar-winning song “Lose Yourself" in its new 2012 Audi A6 Avant promo without his consent. The same track was used in a commercial of its rival car maker Chrysler.

The rapper claimed that besides using his hit song, the Audi A6 Avant promo is uncannily similar to his own ad for Chrysler 200, where he drives past Detroit's key landmarks.

The lawsuit is settled now but the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. It is said that Audi bosses have agreed to donate certain amount to charity.
