Kanye West, Adele lead nominations list of Grammy Awards

Rapper Kanye West and pop singer Adele are leading the nomination list for the upcoming 54th annual Grammy Awards, which was unveiled yesterday after the live nominees concert in Los Angeles. The rap mogul and the British singing sensation have grabbed a total of seven and six nods respectively.

Kanye West bagged the nominations in categories like Song of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album. In the two categories, he scored double nominations through his solo work and collaboration with Jay-Z. Meanwhile, Adele received nominations in the most coveted spots like Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Other musicians like Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, rap mogul Lil Wayne, newbie Skrillex, Nicki Minaj, Mumford and Sons, Radiohead, Rihanna and Bon Iver also land multiple nominations. However, the winners of the 54th annual Grammy Awards will be announced at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 12, 2012.
