Lady Gaga's Born This Way sells like hot cakes

By Raymond Ronamai

Controversies may have dogged Lady Gaga but she has achieved what she wants. Her second album 'Born This Way" is selling like hot cakes, and Billboard projects its first week sales at one million units.

It is said that 'Born This Way" scanned 330,000 units at Amazon on Monday (May 23) in spite of the derailment of the Amazon servers. The hiccup left many of the singer"s fans and music lovers but it added hype to the album. It is reported that iTunes recorded 104,000 units, Best Buy 45,000, Target 35,000 and Starbucks 10,000.

Sources said that the album"s initial price of 99 cents led to huge demand. The album was once again priced at 99 cents on Thursday (May 26), which would result in over 150,000 scans.
