Lady Gaga honoured with Fashion Icon Award

Lady Gaga, who is known for wearing wacky and weird costumes to public events, has caught the eyes of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). She will be presented with the Fashion Icon Award at a ceremony conducted by the organisation on June 6.

CFDA has praised the controversial singer's peculiar style sense that kept surprising the public. It has decided to honour her for her contributions to fashion at the award function. The awards ceremony will also see rapper Kanye West presenting a trophy to designer Phoebe Philo, whom the singer had mentioned in his song Dark Fantasy.

It may be recalled that Lady Gaga had earlier stunned with her sense of fashion. She is known for wearing outfit made from meat, a lobster hat and a frock made of Kermit the Frog puppets.
