Lady Gaga dons Tarun Tahiliani's dress at Indian concert

Singer Lady Gaga chose the cream-coloured dress designed by Tarun Tahiliani for her maiden Indian concert. The designer was very much thrilled to see her in the dress as he himself had no idea that the American pop star would don his creation for her performance Sunday night at the Formula One after-party hosted by Arjun Rampal.

Talking to PTI, Tarun Tahiliani expressed his excitement. He said, "I got a call from Mehr (Arjun Rampal's wife) saying that Gaga wanted to see a few sarees. So I had sent her a few outfits and our trademark drapes worn with cholis. "She was so overwhelmed by the dresses that she chose one among them for her performance, leaving the ones she had brought with her already. I had no idea she would be wearing one of my creations for the night!"

Lady Gaga, who teamed the shiny dress with flowy blonde hair, even announced on stage that she was wearing an outfit by the Delhi-based designer, calling him the best in the country. "Its great to be acknowledged by a global pop icon like her. I haven't met her yet, but I am going to meet her soon and gift her more beautiful dresses from my collections," said Tahiliani.

However, Tarun Tahiliani had sent Gaga a number of outfits from his collection. Lady Gaga had also brought several dresses, but pushed them aside and chose the cream number with Swarovski crystals for her performance.
