By Binayak Khatri

Linkin Park's performance officially ended the Download festival 2011. Inspite of having a split finger, Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park guitarist) played the entire set with the band featuring songs such as 'Faint', 'Breaking the Habit' and 'One Step Closer'. The second stage of the festival was occupied by Rob Zombie who played his set, which included songs like 'Jesus Frankenstein', 'Living Dead Girl'. The last time Rob Zombie had performed there was in 1995, with his band White Zombie.

On the previous day, System of a Down, one of the headliners of the show, drove the crowd crazy with their anthemic song 'Chop Suey'. On the same day earlier in the afternoon, Avenged Sevenfold had dedicated their whole set to James Sullivan, their deceased drummer, who had had a fatal overdose on prescribed drugs in 2009.

The three day show, held at Donington Park, Derbyshire in England was also entertained by bands like Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Puddle of Mudd, Korn, Bullet For My Valentine and The Darkness.
