Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon welcome twins

Singer Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon have reportedly become the proud parents of twins on Saturday. According to sources, Mariah has given birth to a baby girl and a boy and this has added happiness to the celebration of their third Wedding Anniversary. Both the babies and the mother are very healthy.

It is reported that Mariah Carey has given birth to twins at a private hospital in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 30. “The baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches," the Associated Press qoutes Carey's representative Cindi Berger as saying.

Mariah Carey met Nick Cannon during the shooting of the music video for her second single 'Bye Bye' on a private island of the coast of Antigua. They were married on April 30, 2008 after a whirlwind romance. They were expecting shortly after their marriage but Carey had a miscarriage. They did not reveal the miscarriage until she announced her pregnancy last fall.
