American
heavy
metal
band
Metallica
blew
out
the
minds
of
Bangaloreans
with
its
first
ever
live
performance
in
the
city
on
October
30.
It
was
rumoured
that
the
show
would
get
cancelled
due
to
rain,
but
James
Hetfield,
Lars
Ulrich,
Kirk
Hammett
and
Robert
Trujillo
hit
the
stage
by
an
hour
and
a
half
late
and
enthralled
the
music
lovers.
Delhi-Based
metal
band
Guillotine
opened
the
concert
at
6
pm
followed
by
the
performance
of
Bangalore
band
Inner
Sanctum
and
the
Scottish
band
Biffy
Clyro.
These
bands
performed
till
7.45
pm.
After
making
music
lovers
wait
for
45
minutes,
Metallica
took
to
the
stage
at
about
8.30
pm.
The
crowd
went
crazy
after
James
Hetfield,
Lars
Ulrich,
Kirk
Hammett
and
Robert
Trujillo
appeared
on
the
stage.
They
performed
some
of
their
hits
like
'Creeping
Death',
'For
Whom
the
Bell
Tolls',
'Fuel
and
Ride
the
Lightning.'
The
30,000-odd
fans
were
so
excited
that
they
sang
'Fade
to
Black'
along
with
Hetfield,
who
later
had
his
India
moment
with
'The
Memory
Remains'.
However,
Metallica
was
to
give
its
first
Indian
live
performance
of
in
Delhi,
but
due
to
security
reasons
the
concert
was
cancelled.
The
Bangalore
concert,
which
was
to
be
the
band's
second
gig
in
India,
become
its
first
concert
in
India.
The
heavy
metal
band
mesmerised
their
Bangalore
fans.
