doctor
who
pronounced
Michael
Jackson
dead
has
told
a
court
in
Los
Angeles
that
the
King
of
Pop
died
long
before
he
reached
hospital.
Dr
Richelle
Cooper,
who
spent
more
than
an
hour
trying
to
resuscitate
the
singer,
said
there
were
no
signs
of
life
when
Jackson
arrived
at
the
emergency
room
on
June
25,
2009,
reports
the
Daily
Express.
The
head
of
ER
at
the
Ronald
Reagan
UCLA
Medical
Centre
in
Los
Angeles
was
testifying
at
a
hearing
to
decide
if
Jackson"s
doctor
should
face
a
criminal
trial.
Dr
Conrad
Murray,
accused
of
negligence
and
a
cover-up,
has
been
charged
with
involuntary
manslaughter.
He
has
been
accused
of
giving
Jackson
an
overdose
of
the
anaesthetic
drug
propofol
combined
with
powerful
sedatives.
Dr
Cooper
told
the
court
that
sedatives
mixed
with
the
anaesthetic
may
have
caused
Jackson
to
stop
breathing.
