Mike Starr found dead mysteriously

Bassist Mike Starr, who was arrested last month on suspicion of possession of medications without a required prescription, has been found dead at a house in Salt Lake City, Utah. The police have not got any details about his sudden demise. They are now struggling to unravel the mystery behind his death.

According to source, the 44-year-old musician had battled drug addiction in the past. He had even appeared on US TV show 'Celebrity Rehab'. He was was kicked out of the band 'Alice in Chains' for his drug issues. He had reportedly revealed his battle with drugs on the US TV show. Meanwhile, he had admitted that drug was the real reason behind his kick out from the band.

But police have not got any details about the cause or circumstances of Starr's death immediately available. It was also not immediately clear, who owned the home or phoned police. "There is nothing to indicate that this was foul play by another individual," the Mirror quotes a police spokesperson as saying.

However, Mike Starr, whose real name is Michael Christopher, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 4, 1966. The American musician was the original bassist for Seattle-based band Alice in Chains. He left the group in 1993. His death will strike a sombre note with fans of the Seattle band, who recently reformed to release the album Black Gives Way to Blue.
