Nicki Minaj in talks with Simon Cowell to judge X Factor

R&B singer Nicki Minaj, who was recently in news for her lesbian affair with singer Rihanna, is said to be in talks with music mogul Simon Cowell to judge his upcoming Fox talent show 'The X Factor'. According to the New York Post, the singer has met the X Factor supremo in Los Angeles a few weeks ago.

It is reported that Simon Cowell has all praise for Nicki Minaj and he is interested to sign in her for the show. But the deal is yet to be done between the two. "Simon thinks Nicki is fantastic. She's sassy, she looks great and she has bags of personality," the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

Sources further say that Nicki Minj has a large following and she fits well with the ethos of the show, which plans to usher in a new generation of musical talent. 'X Factor' is aiming for a younger audience. Those aged 12 and over can audition, and [the English version has] launched successful artists from other genres of music than pop.

However, the bosses of the show are impressed by her personality and quite eager to rope in her for the show. "This isn't a done deal yet, but Nicki would be great for the show. She fits the ideal that 'X Factor' will be exciting, vibrant and different. And the show would also be great for her career," the source adds.
