Pete Doherty released from prison

By Raymond Ronamai

Rocker Pete Doherty is a free man again. He was released from prison after serving for just over a month. He was sentenced to six months jail on May 20 for cocaine possession.

“On this bright sunny morning Peter was released from prison and thanks everyone for their valued support whilst inside," goes the statement on the singer's website. Later, Pete's manager Adrian Hunter thanked everyone on a website by writing, “Peter has been released as was reported there hours ago. Long day folks but a happy one. Many good things done. All's good and peace and quiet shall now ensue. A bit of 'bedding in' and reflection is on the cards and so much the better."

However, Pete might soon land up behind the bars again, he has been charged for stealing a guitar after breaking into a record shop in Germany.
