Shania Twain honoured with Hollywood Star

Country singer Shania Twain was honoured with 'star' on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (June 02). She was joined by the event's guest speaker actress Bo Derek as she received the 2,442nd plaque on the famous Hollywood Boulevard sidewalk in Los Angeles.

The “You Are Still The One" singer said that her Walk of Fame induction was like a miracle. “I mean why is a girl from Timmons, Ontario standing here, getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? I really don't know. Where I come from and where I am today... it's a small miracle, to be honest, that I am here today, That is the truth of being a star,"Contactmusic quoted her telling the crowd.

“Our job is to make you happy and entertain you, come thick or thin - and I can tell you that I do that with the greatest of pleasure. Thank you all so much!" she added.
