Simon Cowell ropes in Mariah Carey to X-Factor

She is in. Putting an end to all the rumours and speculations, television reality show mogul Simon Cowell has finally confirmed that Mariah Carey would be a part of the judge panel for US X-Factor. He revealed that the singer, who is eight-months-pregnant to twins, has come up with a good idea so that she could give time to judge the show.

“I think Mariah will have a role on the live shows. I met her recently and she was on great form. Her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with," Cowell DJ Brown on her 92.9ZZU radio show.

Cowell has earlier appointed record executive Antonio L.A. Reid to the X Factor's judging panel. He is yet to reveal the names of other judges. The auditions for the show will begin this spring. Winner of the show will be rewarded with a $5 million recording contract from Cowell's Syco/SonyMusic imprint.
