'American
Idol'
creator
Simon
Fuller's
attorney
has
responded
sharply
to
Simon
Cowell's
criticism
on
Fuller's
lawsuit
over
the
US
version
of
'The
X
Factor'.
Dale
Kinsella
has
said
that
the
former
American
Idol
judge
should
keep
his
legal
opinions
to
himself
as
he
does
not
understand
legal
pleadings.
In
an
interview
with
THR,
Simon
Cowell,
who
was
a
judge
on
American
Idol
for
nine
seasons,
had
said
that
Simon
Fuller
had
no
right
to
demand
an
executive
producer
credit
and
fee
on
his
singing
competition
US
'X
Factor'.
“It"s
like
me
saying
I
want
to
be
executive
producer
on
The
Voice
or
Project
Runway,"
THR
quotes
Cowell
as
saying.
However,
Simon
Fuller
has
filed
the
multi-million
dollar
lawsuit
against
Fox
and
producer
Fremantle.
His
lead
lawyer
Dale
Kinsella
made
strong
reaction
against
Cowell's
comments.
He
said,
“Mr.
Cowell
would
be
better
served
reading
scripts
than
legal
pleadings
and
documents
he
clearly
does
not
understand."
