Stars back out of Michael Jackson tribute concert

Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert, which is to be held on October 8 at Cardiff in Wales, is expected to be the biggest tribute show for King of Pop Michael Jackson. But the show seems to be facing severe set back after several artistes, who had promised to take part in it, backed out of the it. Sources claim that the reason behind their decision is that MJs family itself has chosen to distance it.

Singers like Beyonce Knowles, KISS, Cee-Lo Green, Smokey Robinson, Ne-Yo and Christina Aguilera had promised to perform at Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert. But now, Beyonce and KISS have pulled out of the show. Beyonce's reps are quoted her pregnancy as the reason, but insiders reveal that she is upset with the Jackson family's division over the show.

However, Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert is being held close on the heels of the September 20, trial of Dr Conrad Murray. His brothers Jermaine and Randy, who are upset with the show, recently said, “While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honours our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael"s death."
