U2 still want to kick ass

By Raymond Ronamai

U2 have been around in the music industry for quite a while now but they are still enthusiastic about music and are ready to give young bands a run for their money. Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody said that U2 have great appetite for music and still want to kick ass.

Gary, whose band is currently touring with U2, said that Bono and his bandmates still have the competitive spirit. “They are still hungry to compete against younger bands, bands that are just coming out. They want to compete, they want to be relevant, they want to kick ass," The Sun quoted Gary as telling to Vicki Blight on Absolute Radio.

Gary is all praise for U2, saying that they gave lots of advice to him and his bandmates unlike other bands they toured with. “Sometimes you're lucky to get a word out of a band that you're playing with but U2 have taken us under their wings. You learn an awful lot in there," he added.
