Katy Perry leads music winner list of People's Choice Awards 2012

Singer Katy Perry has topped the winner list of People's Choice Awards 2012 in music with four top honours. But she remained absent at the event of the 38th annual People's Choice Awards. The other winners in music category are Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Eminem, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

Katy Perry was nominated in seven categories including one in TV and movie. She has won awards in categories like Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Song of the Year, Favorite Tour Headliner and Favorite Music Video in music. Earlier this week, the singer, who recently broke up with her husband Russel Brand, told her Twitter fans that she would not make it to the show, but she had thanked them all for voting for her.

However, this year's People's Choice Awards was a dull show as most of the music winners like Lady Gaga, Eminem, Rihanna and Taylor Swift could not make it to the colourful event on Wednesday night. The only musicians, who took the stage to accept their wins, were Demi Lovato and Maroon 5.
