I don't think Mariah Carey is ever in need of a job: Nick Cannon

With American Idol Season 12 on BIG CBS LOVE racing towards its grand finale, things seem to be heating up not just on stage, but behind the scenes as well. American Idol judge and songstress Mariah Carey, who has been in the news for rumours claiming that she will be replaced by former Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, is reacting to all the negative speculation with much dignity. One of the most qualified judges on the panel of the popular singing reality show, Mariah Carey has garnered a loyal following amongst fans for her judging abilities, in spite of the numerous controversies surrounding her stint on the show.

In light of the reports doing the rounds, doting husband and America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon has come out defending his wife from the unpleasantries. The actor comments, "Whatever happens with that show, I think she's had a great time. But she's a global superstar. I don't think she's ever in need of a job. She made a decision to do that show because she really wanted to connect with the contestants. I don't think she's thinking about the future of it."

On the other hand, Mariah continues to remain in high spirits on the show, playing the ultimate professional and maintaining her usual decorum. With our top four ladies well on their way to making Idol history, American Idol is looking as intriguing as ever. However, the question remains - Who will leave next, and will it even be a contestant or will it be a judge?
