Dispatch is a chaotic and frenetic job so only ever doing a mid shots of Maddie picking up a call wasn't doing Maddie or the job justice really. Instead of Maddie's not like other dispatchers the show thrives when it shows Maddie is just like the other dispatchers thrown into the deep end. 911 calls should feel like a doctor in an ER with twenty patients they need to see to quickly. We haven't really had that on ABC with 911. I want that back. And I want back Maddie having workplace gossip sessions and not isolated from her coworkers (sic)," another wrote on a reddit thread.
