Akash Jagga Conquers His Fear Of Mythological Shows With 'Naagvansham'
Mumbai: Actor Akash Jagga, who won audiences over as Kundan in Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, is now gearing up for his mythological debut with the upcoming vertical drama Naagvansham. The actor will be seen playing the role of Aryam in the series.

Jagga, a familiar face from shows like Pyaar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii, Sasural Simar Ka 2, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2020), has been winning hearts on the web space lately. But stepping into the mythological genre wasn't always on his radar.
Opening up about the experience, the actor admitted he had long avoided mythological shows due to a lack of confidence in the language they demand.
"I used to avoid mythological shows because I wasn't confident with the shuddh, spasht Hindi they demand. The diction, rhythm, and classical phrasing always felt intimidating, and I worried I'd sound off on screen," he shared.
That changed with Naagvansham. Jagga credited the director and co-star Arav Chowdharry for helping him break through that barrier.
"This project changed that completely for me. Working with the director was an amazing experience-he was patient, clear with his vision, and pushed me to speak the language properly without losing the emotion behind the lines," he said.
Having Arav Chowdharry on set made the transition smoother, given his extensive background in mythological shows.
"Since he's done so many mythological shows, he already knows the nuances of the dialect and delivery. Whenever I stumbled or felt unsure, he guided me on pronunciation, pauses, and how to carry the gravitas the genre needs. We'd worked together earlier on Sasural Simar Ka 2, so there was already a natural comfort and trust between us. That made it easier to take feedback and improve quickly," Jagga added.
By the end of the shoot, the actor said he felt a noticeable shift in his confidence.
"By the end of the shoot, I felt a real shift. The fear is gone, and I genuinely feel more confident now. I can finally say I'm ready for mythological shows," he concluded.
Naagvansham marks Jagga's first foray into the mythological space and is expected to stream soon on a vertical drama platform.
