Did Arisu Die In The End?
Towards the end, Arisu chooses to return to the world, living with Usagi. As he hears her voice from the water, he jumps in. However, Ryuji catches hold of Usagi and says, "Let's go to the land of death together." But he stops and realizes Usagi's love for Arisu. He remembers how Arisu asked him to save Usagi at any cost. But seeing that he survived the storming water. He hands over Usagi to Ryuji and goes to the land of death.
Usagi and Arisu managed to get past the storm and got to the world. But as he returned to the world, he thanked Ann and asked whether Usagi managed to return to the world with him. He immediately ran to the hospital, realizing that Usagi also got her consciousness back. As they held each other's hands and celebrated the moment, they realized Ryuji had died.
The show then fast-forwards to Usagi and Arisu deciding the name of their baby.
An earthquake stirred something up in Arisu's mind. But it remains uncertain what exactly. In the last scene, we see a woman wearing a waitress dress with the name "Alice" on it. Does this mean that Arisu and Usagi named their child "Alice"? Well, that remained unclear. We hope for more seasons ahead for clarity.
