Babil Khan On The Pressures Of Validation In The Social Media Era

The recently released Logout continues to resonate with audiences-not only for its gripping narrative but also for the deeper questions it raises about our digital lives. This sharp tech thriller explores the perils of online dependency and the delicate balance between our virtual personas and real-world identities. Yet, what truly stands out is Babil Khan's compelling performance, which feels deeply personal and hauntingly authentic.
In an exclusive conversation, Babil opened up about the emotional toll of social media-both for his character and himself. "Yes, it does overwhelm me," he admitted. "But you can choose how social media treats you. I used to get overwhelmed because I relied on validation, just like my character. But if you learn to manage that consumption and use it as a creative tool, social media can actually be great."
He continued, "In today's world, we often exchange self-worth for external approval. We compare ourselves to the most polished, filtered versions of others-and in doing so, we lose sight of who we truly are."
Directed by Amit Golani and written by Biswapati Sarkar, Logout is a taut, timely exploration of life at the intersection of tech and identity. Babil's introspection lends an additional layer of meaning to the film, echoing its core message: in a world dominated by likes and followers, rediscovering authenticity might just be the most radical act of all.
