Be Dune Teen EXCLUSIVE! Kshitish Date Reveals Which Scene Made Him Emotional While Shooting

Kshitish Date, who plays the role of Abhay in Be Dune Teen, spilled the beans about his character in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit. From revealing his initial reaction when he was narrated the script to sharing which scene made him emotional, the actor bared his heart out in a fun-filled interview with us.

01. What was your first reaction when you heard the narration?

I was extremely happy because it was written by all my friends and directed by my friends. So essentially all our people are involved in this - that was the first pleasant feeling. And secondly, the story is absolutely sweet, so that played a huge part in saying yes to the script.

02. How did you prepare to play Abhay, who is navigating love, everyday chaos, and the transition into soon-to-be parenthood?

This character is incredibly relatable to our generation. The thoughts, conversations, and dilemmas they deal with are the same we navigate every day. So building the layers didn't feel foreign, but it felt honest. Virajas, Shivani, and I spent time discussing the humour, the innocence, and especially the question of parenthood, which is such a complex choice for many today. Whether a couple wants a child or not is a real conversation in our lives, and that truth was essential to the performance. It wasn't difficult to crack because it's our story too, which is rooted in the lifestyle and mindset of this generation.

03. The show mixes humour and emotion beautifully. Which scene made you personally emotional while shooting?

I don't know whether we should reveal this, but everyone knows they are going to deliver the three babies at the end. So, the point where the babies are born - that was the scene which really made me emotional. I don't even need to explain that it is such a blissful moment for any person. And being actors, no matter how much we are away from the content or how much we are pretending to be the character, there are so many shades that connect with us, and we find ourselves in them. So, the point where the news arrives and the sequence of holding the babies in their arms towards the end of the series, that really touched our hearts.
