Bohurupi (Bengali) OTT Release Updates: The blockbuster Bengali director duo Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy continued their winning streak with 'Bohurupi'. Amidst a strong pre-release buzz, the Bengali-language vigilante heist action-thriller had its grand theatrical release during Durga Pujo last year, i.e., 8th October 2024, clashing with superstar Dev's 'Tekka'. Bohurupi opened to rave reviews from fans and critics alike and became the second highest-grossing Bengali film of 2024. And now, after a long wait, the blockbuster is finally gearing up for its OTT release.

Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee, and produced by the duo under their banner Windows Productions, Bohurupi stars Shiboprasad and Abir Chatterjee in the lead. For those unversed, the vigilante-thriller marks the director duo's second onscreen collaboration with Abir after the success of 'Raktabeej'.

Co-starring Ritabhari Chakraborty and Koushani Mukherjee, Bohurupi allegedly mounted a decent budget of Rs 4 cr. Later, the film went on to gross over Rs 22.5 cr at the box office from its 175+ days of theatrical run.

Set between 1998 and 2005, Bohurupi follows the clash between a mysterious man on the run and a dedicated honest cop. Bikram (played by Shiboprasad Mukherjee) gets imprisoned over false accusations and during his time behind bars, he meets a skilled robber and learns tricks from him. Sumanta's (played by Abir) quest to hunt Bikram down follows the rest of the story.
