Campus Beats 6 Actor Suvansh Dhar Praises Producer Palki Malhotra’s Vision: Her Characters Are Always Layered

Suvansh Dhar joined the cast of Campus Beats 6 with high hopes and his performance has not gone unnoticed. He adds a sense of realism to a gay character that makes the role feel real and identifiable. It's a part that could have easily been one-dimensional, but Suvansh manages to add warmth and relatability to it. He credits much of this to the way the character was shaped under Palki Malhotra's vision.

Suvansh shared his experience, saying that working on the show felt like a full-circle moment. He recalled watching youth-centric shows curated by Palki during his growing-up years and dreaming of being part of such stories one day. When he learned that she was behind Campus Beats 6, it instantly made the project more special for him.

"It was just like a full circle for me because when I was a kid, I used to watch a lot of youth shows, which were curated by Palki ma'am on Channel V and MTV. When you see those youth shows at that age, you feel like you want to be part of these stories," he said, adding that he felt both happy and excited when he came on board.

Suvansh further praised her writing style, highlighting how she ensures that every character feels layered and real. He pointed out that even though his character belongs to the LGBTQ+ community, it was written with depth and sensitivity. "I knew that her characters are always layered. So I was very happy that even if my character comes from the LGBTQ+ community, it will have layers," he explained. He also noted that this quality of storytelling is what makes her shows resonate strongly with young audiences.

For Suvansh, the biggest learning from the project wasn't limited to performance alone. He spoke about how Palki's guidance went beyond scenes and scripts. From helping him understand the character's mindset to encouraging him to open up off-camera, the experience felt personal. "My biggest takeaway from working under her vision was that, not just as an actor, but she also tried to make me a wiser person. She is patient, honest, and very particular about her work," he shared.

Looking back, Suvansh also highlighted the sense of belonging he felt on set. He mentioned that being welcomed so openly made a real difference, especially since he wasn't part of the earlier seasons. That comfort, he believes, helped him blend in with the cast and perform with more confidence.
