Chamak: The Conclusion Director Rohit Jugraj EXCLUSIVE: Chamak: The Conclusion is finally coming and is all set to release soon after the successful run of season 1, which came in December, 2023. Chamak, which revolves around the life of Kaala, played by Paramvir Cheema, and his character getting entangled in the dark underbelly of the music industry in Punjab which caused his father's murder. Later, he discovers the shocking truths, which is related to its past, that shake the industry to its core. In season 2, Kaala could be seen dig deeper into the truth that will result in dangerous confrontation with Guru Deol, played by Mohit Malik and Pratap Deol, played by Manoj Pahwa.

The musical thriller is helmed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan, and bankrolled by Geetanjali Mehelwa Chauhan alongside Rohit and Sumeet Dubey. Apart from Paramveer, Mohit, and Manoj Pahwa, the series also stars Isha Talwar, Akasa Singh, and Gippy Grewal, among others. Recently, director Rohit Jugraj opened up about the upcoming series and spilled a lot of beans to us. From the idea behind the story to his favorite character from the entire series, the director has revealed 'em all.

Rohit Jugraj Reveals His Favorite Character From Chamak: The Conclusion

When asked who is the favorite character from the entire series, Rohit chuckled and admitted he has not one but two favorite characters from the show. One is the protagonist, Kalaa, and second one is the Guru Deol. He elaborated why Guru Deol's character has a special place in his heart, he said, "The LGBTQ character was written in such a way with whom people can connect emotionally, even the break up shown in the series was portrayed like how straight couples break up, how a man & woman would break up, because pain toh same hai na..(pain is same no?)." The director also elaborated how the break up affect the character and how changes himself in the process is what fascinated him the most.

Where Did The Idea Of Chamak Come From?

Talking about the same, the director talked how he saw the world 'upfront', especially the Punjabi music industry and the deep-rooted 'violence' and 'extortions' in the same. He further stressed on the point, "Is tarah ki music industry aur kahi pe bhi nahi hai, India me to nahi hai (This kind of music industry doesn't exist anywhere, especially in India)." He further mentioned how crimes and music exist together in Punjabi music industry which he has seen nowhere in the world.
