The upcoming Bengali-language crime-thrillers series, which is a tale of sisterhood, marks Chakraborty's first release of this year. Dainee, a part of Hoichoi's new and dynamic release slate of 2025, features Mimi Chakraborty as 'Pata' who goes great lengths to save her younger sister 'Lata', played by Koushani Mukhopadhyay. Directed by Nirjhar Mitra, Dainee also features Sudip Mukherjee, Shruti Das, Biswajit Das, and Anumegha Kahali in important roles.

Dainee follows the story of two estranged sisters who fight for survival against the bloodthirsty villagers and their societal superstitions.

In Dainee, Lata (Mimi Chakraborty) returns to her ancestral home to claim her father's inheritance after his death. But to her surprise, she finds out that her sister Pata is facing the wrath of the villagers and is about to be burnt alive under the accusations of being a 'witch'.
