Daredevil: Born Again OTT Release: Marvel fans, get ready! Daredevil: Born Again, the eagerly awaited revival of Daredevil series is scheduled to debut on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. The first two episodes will drop on the release day, kicking off a nine-episode season as part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The series brings back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, alongside Vincent D'Onofrio as the powerful Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin.

A New Chapter for Daredevil

Based on the Marvel Comics character, Daredevil: Born Again is both a continuation and reimagining of the Netflix series (2015-2018). Initially developed by Matt Corman and Chris Ord with a lighter, episodic format, the series underwent a major overhaul in late 2023. Marvel Studios brought in Dario Scardapane as the new showrunner, while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead stepped in as lead directors to steer the show toward a darker, serialized tone, more in line with the original Daredevil series.

Returning Stars and New Faces

Fans will be thrilled to see Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson reprising their roles as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. Other returning characters include Wilson Bethel as Bullseye and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk. The ensemble cast includes Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, and Michael Gandolfini. Jon Bernthal also returns, reprising his iconic role as The Punisher.

What to Expect from the Series

Originally planned as an 18-episode season, the revamped series has been split into two seasons, with the second season expected to premiere in early-to-mid 2026 as part of Phase Six. While filming for season one wrapped in April 2024, production on season two is scheduled to begin in February 2025 and continue until July 2025.

Adding to the excitement, Marvel Studios is also developing an untitled Punisher television special, which was conceptualized during the filming of Daredevil: Born Again.
